Music!

You can have a peek at some of our students having fun singing Karaoke,  while we were working on our Human Body and Senses Theme.

We had a special visitor in our classroom a month ago. Ms. Riesen, MVA’s music teacher, taught our students about ‘beat’ while reading the book “Are You My Mother? “. Our kids enjoyed it a lot.
Thanks Mrs. Riesen!
Here you can have a peek at the lesson.

Senses: Taste

While studying our bodies and senses, we focused on taste for a few days. We dehydrated fruits and vegetables and used a juicer to help us learn about healthy eating choices, how our stomach works, and what happens afterwards.
After dehydrating the fruits and pumpkins seeds, our students had a taste of them. They were really delicious!
We have also been learning about how the stomach works. To help us better understand, we used a juicer that shows two exits: one for the juice and the other one for the fibers.

After juicing, our children tried it. And, once more it was delicious!

Human Body and Senses: limbs

While maneuvering a wheelchair down the hallway, the children’s focus was on learning the importance of our limbs, how they work, and experiencing the difficulties some people face.
